At the Dance Center, our instruction covers all types of dancing from ballet to hip hop. We are dedicated to providing our students with a professional and friendly learning environment.
Our goal at the Dance Center is to stay in touch with any changes in our industry, so that we can always offer you the latest and most current information and services.
Our mission is "to serve our students with the extensive knowledge and expertise we have gained in our industry, while continually offering them the finest in dance instruction."
One of our specialties that we have is D.R.E.A.M. or Dance Related Exercise And Movement, a special unisex program in dance and gymnastics for 2-,3-,4- & 5-year olds. We also have a suspended maple dance floor offering resilience with stability for safety.

ABOUT THE DIRECTOR/ STUDIO
Deborah Thomas-Cofrancesco, Director of the Dance Center in Maywood, N. J. has been a professional in the dance field for over 30 years. She has studied with the best, including American Ballet Theater, Phil Black, Chuck Kelley, Henry LeTang, Luigi,Germaine Salzberg, Frank Hatchett, Zena Rommett, and many other renowned artists. This education began at the age of three and as a young teen Deborah pursued her art and education in New York City. She has performed with such notables as Jimmy Slyde, Gregory Hines, and Savion Glover. She also has a BA in Speech/Theatre Arts Education with Concentrations in Dance and Education and is a certified teacher. To this day, she continues to study and has added Pilates and Zumba certification to her teaching credits.
Ms. Thomas-Cofrancesco has performed with the Joe Frazier Revue, has done production shows in Las Vegas, Atlantic City and at Lily Langtry’s in Valley Forge, Pa. and in Montreal, Canada. She has also performed off-Broadway and in musicals at dinner theaters in the tri-state area and on Cunard cruise ships. She has taught dance at numerous nursery schools, performing arts high schools, and universities. Her career at the Dance Center began over 20 years ago, and Deborah has been the proud Owner/Director for the past 15 years.
Ms. Thomas-Cofrancesco‘s studio, the Dance Center, teaches ages 2 through 82 and employs many other instructors with professional performance credits as well as college degrees, many in education. The instructors all bring their own expertise and style to the Dance Center, are currently very active in the field, and the students therefore become extremely well versed in all styles of dance. The resident dance company, DANCEFUSION, has performed at Great Adventure, Hersheypark, Disneyworld, Fla., Busch Gardens, Va., Inner Harbor, Baltimore, and Fanueil Hall in Boston. They recently headlined at the VillaRoma resort in the Catskills as well as entertaining at numerous venues such as Arts Days, Relay for Life nursing homes, school events, Girl Scouts of America, First Night celebrations street fairs, and Womens’ Clubs.
Deborah has also taught master classes at Villanova University and judged many dance competitions and pageants. She has served on a committee for Dance Teacher Magazine as a consultant and spokesperson for Dance Education. She feels so fortunate and grateful every day to be able to continue doing what she loves best and hopes to continue passing that on to her students! Deborah and her instructors are thrilled to work with all dancers at every age and level!!
